It’s Bouna Time! It’s Playoff Time!

bCoundoul

Goalkeeper, Bouna Coundoul led the New York Red Bulls to the 2010 MLS playoffs by playing the best game of his career.  Making 12 Saves on the night, he very deservedly earned Man-of-the-Match honors, and recorded a new team record by earning his 10th Shutout of the season, breaking Tony Meola’s previous record set in the inaugural season in 1996.

Dane Richards scored his 4th goal of the season in the 6th minute of the game, and for the remaining 84 minutes it was Bouna Time!  With the win, besides clinching a playoff berth, coupled with Columbus’s 0-0 draw with San Jose, the Red Bulls pull into full possession of 1st Place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 14-8-5 47 Points (one point better than the Crew).

Next week they play the defending MLS Cup Champions, Real Salt Lake 4PM at Red Bull Arena.

On Thursday Oct 21st, They end the regular season by facing the New England Revolution 7:30PM at Red Bull Arena.

Ticket are on sale NOW for the remaining regular season games and for the 2010 MLS Playoffs at Red Bull Arena…
